    this thing works.

if you need lab precision there are other place s to go to.

if you need something to tell you

if you are looking at 80F or 120 F

this is the cheap way to go.

tea does taste better at about 200F and not 212F

    pls note..

    ok its not a brick

    its not made in 1960

its made in china as we consumers have deemed it to be.

    hence the affordability.

    but

check out the manual and the design of this thing

its made by a bunch of people who are people

who care, and is wisely designed.

    alarms for either TIME

or reach upto a certain pre set TEMP

    are available

    goes from 0 C to 200 C

    good enuff for most things

if you need for experiments like me

    to go from -100 C to 2000 C

you must look at lab grade stuff in hundreds of dollars friend.

but if you can get it landed

cost into your home for less than usd 33

its a useful thing to have around

    for food or other measurements

    in that range

    oh

    yes

i like that instant conversion with flick of

switch too.. between C and F

on back of machine tho, not front.

    itsplasitc

so DONT put IN or outside hot stuff

    will melt.

keep it some place a bit away

    works.

    good logical design

take care use wisely and gently

    will serve you well

    tks

I am not able to understand why it takes so long to get what I order. Are these people selling so much that it takes days to process my order. If they are why can’t they hire enough people to ship in a timely manner. Or maybe they just don’t consider my business that important.

Right out of the box it displayed HI even in meat that my instant read thermometer read 46F. I am returning this piece of garbage. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

All I got was an empty box. Please ship UPS in the future, not USPS.

  5. I’m on my second unit, third prob.

Both units have been 20 degrees off.

In my opinion, the prob is too long. Therefore, it goes through the meat and hits the metal surface of the pan; causing the prob to short out.

On the bright side, it has enabled me to roast whole chickens to perfection. As long as I remember it’s 20 degrees off.
