  1. These culinary books are very heavy, but they were only shipped with plastic wrap. Six of the eight corners were dented, which was quite disturbing. I decided to keep the books, simply because I didn’t want to wait four weeks for replacements. This seller really needs to spend the extra .12 cents and use a little bubble wrap.”

    In my opinion, if there is only recipe and reference book you want to buy this is it. It is the bible of culinary (if Larousse did not come out with his Gastronomique) and indeed helpful for those serious in cooking.

  5. The author is a wizard. I still own a earlier 1983 edition of his book. It’s falling apart from usage.
